        Directory of Democracy Blogs
A democracy blog is a weblog that regularly posts articles that support the ideals of accountable, transparent, just, and participative government for all people.  Demologue.com is creating a directory of democracy blogs around the world and we need your help.  A "wiki" is a basic webpage that can be easily edited online by anyone with access to the site - in other words, by you. As the most democratic form of website design, it seemed an appropriate way to create a directory or democracy blogs.  Click here to view the blog wiki page and here to edit it. Or, send a link to your favorite democracy blog (in any language!) to mail@demologue.com

                                             The Election Blogging Guide
Election blogs are a new forum for political expression and engagement.  They offer a space for freer speech through anonymous blogging and commenting and open political discussions through comment threads.

The Election Blogging Guide includes chapters on blogging strategies, election blog features, blogging anonymously, promoting your blog, and some case studies of current election blogs.

The guide was written by openDemocracy Commissioning Editor Solana Larsen and Zephyr Teachout, Director of Online Organizing for Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign, and Demologue Coordinator Mary Joyce.

The Handbook for Bloggers & Cyber-Dissidents

Reuters Foundation Reporters Handbook

Reporters Without Borders has produced this handbook to give bloggers handy tips and technical advice on how to to remain anonymous and to get around censorship, by choosing the most suitable method for each situation. It also explains how to set up and make the most of a blog, to     publicize it (getting it picked up efficiently by search-engines) and to establish its credibility through observing basic ethical and journalistic        principles. The Reuters Foundation has been kind enough to share their journalism guide with Demologue.com.  The guide, originally written to train reporters in Iraq, matches clarity with simplicity and intelligence to introduce novices to the skills of journalism.  Although the guide was created to train professional journalists, it may also be to citizen journalists interested in honing their craft. This guide may not be used for training workshops or in any profit-making venture.
